Summary

She is a famous actress, who, as she approaches 70, decides to abandon her career. She wants to be like a Chinese elder statesman of an ancient tradition, venerated for his age and honored for the wisdom that comes in this time of meditation. Having commanded the limelight for four decades and more, she expects to assume the dignity of a Chinese prime minister on her own terms.
